FTP Server and FTP Droplets

Both the MacOSX and the PC Droplets have been updated to the latest versions.
Software Version: 5.1.3.56
All users should upgrade to the newest version.

* API Macintosh and PC uploading droplets

* Upload your files via online web form (only for small jobs)
* Email your files via email (only for small jobs)

Our FTP services have changed. If you are using our ftp droplets to upload jobs to us, just download the new version of the droplets and install over the old ones. New ftp information has also been posted in the FTP Server Info section if you are using your own ftp client to upload your jobs.

The droplets can be used on Mac OSX and IBM machines. Vista and Mac OS 9 are not supported. If your operating system is not supported, you can upload using a ftp client. We have added links for open source ftp clients that work well and are free to use.

New Mac OSX, and Windows Uploading Droplets

Installing new droplets for the server upgrade is easy.

For PC users, just install over the old one.
For Macintosh users, just delete the old program files and unpack the new Macintosh client to your hard drive.

The new ftp clients are easy to use and have built-in error control, automatic logon and uploading.

The Mac OSX and the Windows versions of the program will automatically send us a confirmation email when you have successfully uploaded your job to our server. The program will prompt you to include any comments or specifications about your job. If you company has a strict firewall policy, you may need to email us at files@apiprint.com and let us know that you have sent us a job.

Please specify your company name when adding comments, this will help us to get your job processed as quickly as possible.

API customers are licensed to install as many ftp clients as needed. The software is provided to our customers for free.

When uploading files, please send a email to files@apiprint.com when your upload is complete.

**Please include the following information with your email:**

* Customer Name
* Job information
* Sales Person or Customer Service Representative
* Job Quote Number
* Filename uploaded

All jobs uploaded need to be compressed. Use short file names, its best to have 8 or less characters.

We can accept the following compression formats.

* Macintosh formats - .sit, .sitx, .zip (note: the .sit or .sitx format work best for file integrity)
* PC formats - .zip, .rar

Customers’ that prefer to use a FTP software to upload to the API FTP server.
